With the departure of the San Diego Chargers to Los Angeles, San Diego State University (SDSU) Athletics faced a unique challenge. They needed to solidify San Diego State Football's position as the heart and soul of San Diego's gridiron spirit.
As the Art Director/Lead Designer for the athletics dept, I spearheaded the development of a new visual identity for SDSU Athletics.
The Approach:
Photoshoot Direction & Creative Vision: I led a dynamic photoshoot featuring the university's star athletes, capturing their intensity and dedication.
Poster Design & Brand Identity: I designed a series of posters that fused these action-packed athlete photos with the iconic San Diego skyline, trophy imagery, and a captivating rendering of the new stadium.
Ongoing Collaboration: This project extends beyond the initial campaign. I continue to collaborate with SDSU Athletics on ongoing poster design and graphic design projects, ensuring consistent messaging and a strong visual identity.
